Envelopes and consumables - Checksecure envelopes

The vast majority of companies have strict guidelines and procedures for the processing of valuable documents such as cheques . These procedures are used to protect against internal document theft and fraud. However, it is surprising to find that very few companies place importance on securing their documents once they have left the office.

Any company sending out cheques should ensure that their envelopes conform to the Best Practice Guidelines issued by APACS (Association for Payment Clearing Services). These guidelines are designed to minimise the risks of cheque fraud during production, signing and dispatch by post. The vast majority of standard envelopes offer no protection to their contents. Shining a light through the envelope can easily expose the contents. The best way to prevent postal fraud is to stop the contents of the envelope from being viewed.

Checksecure envelopes are designed to conform to APACS best practice guidelines. They are produced using high quality 90gsm paper, which is thicker than the paper used on many standard envelopes, along with a unique text pattern and dark opaque design that prevents the contents being viewed when held up to the light, or even when more powerful light sources such as halogen lamps are used.
